Art galleries are one of my favourite places to visit whether I am at home or travelling. While visiting a local art gallery I happened to discover a beautiful children’s art studio on the premises. As a kindergarten teacher I am always inspired by new learning environments and interested in the different ways that children learn through discovery and play. This art studio was no exception. Inside I found a wonderful assortment of art mediums such as clay, paints and natural materials – and the artwork created by students was nothing short of magic. I hope you are inspired my photos to try some of these art mediums in your own classroom! Enjoy!
Can you believe that the artwork in this post was created by four and five year olds?! I strongly believe that the arts are such a great way for us to foster curiosity and expression in our youngest learners. By ensuring that each child has the opportunity to express themselves through a variety of experiences we can help shape confident learners and honour the creativity each child holds within.
